PEDAL WAGON (2018)
Full design concept for the Pedal Wagon in Dayton, Ohio. Pedal Wagons are a 15 seat pedal-powered vehicle that have become a large trend in Columbus, Cincinnati, Covington, and Dayton over the last few years. Each Pedal Wagon is unique to their city in some way. Pedal Wagon Dayton approached us to redesign one of their wagons that represented Dayton's unique style and history.
The approach that my group took was to focus on all of the rich history and fun facts that Dayton has, including the Wright Brothers, the first speeding ticket ever written, gems to represent Dayton's nickname as the Gem City, and so much more. We wanted our design to teach the riders about Dayton's rich history while they pedaled around the city.
The team I worked with on this project includes: Emma Kaufman, Cassie Smith, Emily Gorenc and guidance from Professor Kathy Kargl. Our design was selected as the runner-up out of eight other proposals.
